Before you apply to study at the University of Tasmania, please ensure you are familiar with our key application dates. Once you have selected the course you would like to study from the Course and Unit Handbook, follow the steps below to apply for study.
Domestic applicants
Go to the Applications page. Find the heading relevant to your situation and click 'Start your application'. Depending on the time of year you are applying, you may see more than one intake listed. If you are interested in applying for a double degree, visit our website for more information.
International students
Go to the Applications page. Click 'Start your application' under the 'International applications' heading to register for the StudyLink system. If you are applying for a research degree, click the link under the 'Research degrees' heading.
Applying for a research higher degree
Both domestic and international applicants can apply. Go to the Research Degree application page for more information.

If you are not applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, scroll down the Applications page for short courses, AMC VET courses and more.
You can save your application at any stage and continue it later. Ensure you save your application before going back and making changes to previous screens.
If you have difficulty submitting your application, please ensure that you have completed all the sections. If you have already submitted an application for the current academic year, you will not be able to submit another application, however you can go in and make changes to your current application.
